ABOUT Blues On Tour

Run by supporters,
for supporters.

Our organisation is volunteer-led and non-profit, providing friendly coach travel to away matches. We exist because away days are better when you share them with people who care about the same club.

Our story

More than a coach journey.

Blue’s On Tour are organisers of coach travel to Southend United away games. We are a non-profit organisation that prides itself on being a family, made up of volunteers working hard to support fans who travel to many locations to follow and support The Blues. During the 2018/2019 season, we travelled some 8000 miles around the UK to watch Southend United play teams including Sunderland, Accrington Stanley, Gillingham, and Plymouth Argyle, in fact, all other league and FA cup games, as we have done for over a decade

Our mission Being part of the family is our motto, and if you have not travelled with us before, you may be delighted to discover during your first experience that we include free drinks and snacks for our passengers during travel. Good banter and laughter enhance the journey along with meeting like-minded fans. Many of our regular travellers have become lifelong friends, and we welcome new additions to join us. We often say, “it’s a great day out ruined by 90 minutes of football!” The 18/19 season was not the greatest in terms of what we saw on the pitch but the Blues On Tour coaches continued to take fans near and far and we still enjoyed some great days out regardless.

Become Family Why not try us out, we believe one trip will convince you of our claims, as it has done with many people of all ages, gender and from all warps of life. So why not join in and “Become part of the family”

New supporters are welcomed on every trip. Whether you are travelling for the first time or have been following their club away for years, you will find a familiar face and a friendly welcome on the coach.

A great day out, occasionally interrupted by ninety minutes of football.

Mission and values

What we stand for.

Five principles that have guided the organisation since the beginning and continue to shape how we run every trip.

Volunteer-led

The organisation is run entirely by supporters who give their time because they care about the supporters’ community. There are no paid staff and no shareholders.

Non-profit

Travel is organised for the benefit of supporters, not to generate a profit. Any surplus is put back into improving the away-day experience.

Inclusive community

Supporters of all ages are welcome. Families, younger fans and those new to away days are included from their very first trip.

Part of the family

Regular travellers describe the travel group as a family as much as a travel group. The friendships formed on the coach are part of what makes away days special.

Straightforward travel

Organised departure points, clear travel information and a reliable coach make each away trip simple and stress-free for every supporter.

Shared journeys, football conversation and the kind of banter that only comes from years of following the same club together. The coach journey is part of the day.

Drinks and snacks are part of the established away-day experience. Travelling together is more enjoyable when everyone is looked after.
